ZEF: Our topic for this episode is: “Create A Vision Board That Empowers You To Soar!” - Part 1. Yes, this is part 1 of our 4 episodes dedicated to the Vision Board and Mind Mapping theme.

LIRONE: We are excited to have Super Julie back on the show and this time she will be helping us build a vision board.

ZEF: Super Julie, why is a vision board important for us and our business?

JULIE: A vision board will help you create your vision for the year fulfilling all of the key aspects of your life providing balance and emphasis on areas that you may ignore or are areas of weakness for you. The images you include will help you strive towards getting those things and give you the "picture" to help you envision them happening to you.

ZEF: What about you Sondra? You’re an entrepreneur yourself, What do you think is beneficial about using a vision board?

SONDRA: I've mentioned before that I'm a huge fan of the power of attraction. Creating a vision board allows you to consider all that you want to see in your life. You cannot achieve all your goals or receive your wishes if you don't know what they are yet. Tapping into a head/heart space that allows you to put the intention out there, gives you the opportunity to receive more than you may have otherwise imagined.

ZEF: So SJ, I know you mentioned the BAGUA vision board model in your FB post and you agreed to help us create our own vision boards during this show. So, before we get started, what is the Bagua and why are you using it for the vision board exercise we are doing today?

SUPER JULIE: The Bagua is based on Feng Shui - and is usually used to analyze the energy of any given space.  Our Bagua that we are using today focuses on the 9 key aspects of your life including career, money/material things, reputation, helpful people, etc.  These key areas are often forgotten about when creating a vision board and because we'll be setting up our boards paying attention to each area, we will be creating something that is organically balanced from the get go!

ZEF: I am loving all this discussion about vision boards and speaking of physical vs digital versions, our next guest has created a social enterprise that deals with many “physical” inspirational products that are helping out a little bit of sunshine in other people’s lives. Folks, speaking about sunshine, she is one person that I think have come close to my 200 mph speed in life!
Please help me welcome Sandra Centorino, an Inspirational Expert from “Say It Forward + Co.!”

SANDRA: Thank you, everyone. I am a born entrepreneur.  I love the challenge of taking a problem and finding a solution, especially if it makes the world a better place. For 12 years we touched over 500,000 lives of those with cancer by delivering CUREchiefs.  This started by one kind gesture and solving the problem my friend had that lost her hair.  After the foundation ended it was a stepping stone to start Say it Forward.  The problem in society with the lack of face to face connections and the negativity everywhere we turn.  So another gesture started the next business.  My girls and I printed up cards with positive messages on them and handed them out to strangers. Resulting in a business idea and movement called Say it forward! 

SUPER JULIE: We’ve been talking about vision boards earlier on in the show so Sandra, can you please tell us about your vision to help and connect with people? How did it start?

SANDRA: It started with my name Sandra means Helper of humanity. I actually have plastic card my mom gave me in the 6th grade that has my name on it with the meaning. So my vision to help started when I was young.

LIRONE: Tell us WHY you do what you do?

SANDRA: The reason I do what I do is this ... "It's FUN not to be ordinary.  Today ordinary isn't good enough. My vision has always been to help, comfort, inspire, motivate. Today I use my positive energy to also Inspire women in business/entrepreneur's to use the power of positivity in their business. I teach them and empower them to take their vision and spread it on social media in a fun, inspiring way to get noticed and get business! If we do everything with FUN as an ingredient there is no reason that we cannot SOAR in business! My cards for Say it Forward are actually just little vision boards that inspire others.

ZEF:  Creating a digital vision board like DreamItAlive.com gives us the ability to create our digital boards in minutes, something many busy entrepreneurs and business folks can use in their life. In addition to that, as we live in a world driven by social media, it makes our digital vision boards shareable within minutes and we can build a community where we connect with other visionaries, thought leaders, etc.

JULIE: There is no right or wrong way to use a vision board, but let me share with you how I use mine.  Every morning, I spend 45 mins-1 hour prepping for my day.  I do this first thing in the morning, every morning BEFORE I even get out of bed to start my day.  I first ask "What is my greatest purpose?" and every day I have the same answer "To help millions of people".  This is in alignment with my business and what we do at SuperInterns.com.

SONDRA: There is something to getting your hands dirty, cutting things out, writing things by hand, hanging it on your wall. Creating a digital one may just get lost somewhere, never to be seen again. Having something hang on your wall, in an unavoidable area seems like it may hold more power.

SANDRA: For over 20 years all of my business background includes Inspiring others, Motivating Weight Watcher members for 10 years as a leader, Co-founding and running a non-profit foundation with my girls called The CUREchief Foundation, delivering colorful bandanas to cancer patients worldwide, and today I run a Benefit Corporation/Social Enterprise also with my girls called Say it forward + Co. we specialize in interrupting the negative noise in life, by spreading positivity!

LIRONE: I do have to say I have been wanting to do one for many years but I haven't. I think I want to do a digital vision board. But I agree with you, when you put your love and effort and thought into it, and you actually get into putting your board together physically it is way more powerful.

 HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO CREATE YOUR OWN VISION BOARD!

1. Foam Core board or something that will stand up to a year of touching or hanging up on a wall
2. Scissors
3. Glue stick
4. Print out the Bagua so it can be used as a guide
5. Magazines and/or Google images (you can size and print out exactly what you want)
6. Excited, expansive and adventurous attitude - you are going to be creating what you want/desire for the next year!
